OUR VERY OWN OLYMPIAN
As the first week of the Olympics wraps up, we can’t help but suffer from a severe case of Olympic Fever over here at WHM. Between those stupid new gymnastics rules, Badminton DQs, and Phelps breaking records (again), how can we not? But we’ve got yet another reason for the obsession – we have a new client who just so happens to be a former Olympian and Gold Medalist! Sheila Taormina is a multi-talented athlete-cum-motivational-speaker and has enlisted us to help with branding, PR and even a short video to help gain her some speaking opportunities.
Sheila is the only woman and the only living athlete to have competed in three different Olympic sports at four different Olympiads. She won a Gold Medal in Swimming at the 1996 Games in Atlanta, moved on to the Triathlon in both Sydney (2000) and Athens (2004), and when that wasn’t enough, she competed in the Modern Pentathlon in Beijing (2008). And while we all feel a little unaccomplished by comparison, the minute she starts talking we feel inspired to take on anything!
